Karen Tay Koh

Karen has extensive experience in private and public sector organizations in Finance, Healthcare and Education.  She is appointed to the Boards of HSBC Bank Singapore Limited, SGX-listed Banyan Tree Holdings, Red Pencil Singapore and BC Platforms AG, a world leader in genomic data management.  Her previous Boards include Northeastern University (US) and Falck (Denmark). Karen was Deputy CEO of SingHealth from 2001-8, then Singapore’s largest public healthcare delivery network, and concurrently Deputy CEO of Singapore General Hospital from 2003.  She started her career at the Singapore Ministry of Finance.  Karen holds a BA (Hons) Economics, University of Cambridge and an MPA / International Tax Program (Certificate), Harvard University.

Dr. Weng Hong Wong MD

Dr. Wong holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Australia. Dr. Wong has more than 30 years of experience in setting up, acquiring and managing healthcare businesses and assets in Singapore, China, Japan and South East Asia. He held the post of Chief Executive Officer in major healthcare companies over his career in the likes of OUE Limited (Healthcare Division), OUE LIPPO Healthcare Limited, AsiaMedic Limited, Healthway Medical Group and also as Managing Director of Perennial Real Estate Holdings (Healthcare Asset Management) and Healthway Medical Corporation Limited.

Dr. XiaoJiu Zhu MBE PHD

Dr. Zhu obtained her doctorate in Biochemistry and worked many years as a post doctor scientist with MIT USA in the field of host immunity and vaccine development. She continued her work in London at Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) before studying law at the College of Law London. She completed her articles with Clifford Chance and worked briefly for Rouse & Co International London office, a firm specialising in Intellectual property. Dr Zhu is fluent in Mandarin and currently acts for Chinese corporate and private investors in their investments into the UK which recently included an acquisition of a TV station. Combining her legal knowledge with her scientific analytical skills, she offers practical & dynamic solutions to clients’ legal issues. She is the founder and President of the UK Society of Chinese Lawyers; Honorary President of UK China Economic and Trade Exchange Association.

Vincent Loh

Vincent Loh is the CEO of CPG International, spearheading the international arm of CPG Corporation and as the VP of CPG Corporation, oversees CPG Corporation’s business development activities across the globe. Vincent has forged strong client relationships in China, Middle East, India, Sri Lanka, North Asia, ASEAN and Singapore. Vincent is a registered Professional and Chartered Civil Structural Engineer with more than three decades of experience. He has been personally involved in diverse projects from super high rise towers to complex chemical, micro-electronics, pharmaceutical-type projects and complex civil engineering infrastructure project in Singapore and internationally. Vincent is a Professional Engineer registered at the Professional Engineers Board Singapore, a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom, a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (United Kingdom), and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (United States of America). He draws on his years of experience, including the last 10 years in senior management, to inspire and impart skills and best practices to the next generation of leadership and beyond.

Professor Hywel R. Thomas CBE FREng FRS

Professor Thomas is Professor of Civil Engineering at Cardiff University, the founder Director of the Geoenvironmental Research Centre (GRC) at the University, and a UNESCO Professor in the Development of a Sustainable Geoenvironment. He is a Distinguished Research Professor at Swansea University. He also leads FLEXIS, a £24 million project for energy systems research in Wales. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), a Member of Academia Europaea, the Academy of Europe, President of the Learned Society of Wales and Honorary Professor at Zhejiang University, China. He was a Pro-Vice Chancellor of Cardiff University from 2010 to 2018. In 2017 he received a CBE for services to academic research and higher education.

Philip Southwell BA BFP FCA

Philip graduated from Durham University & Eton College. After training with Deloitte & becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Philip’s investment banking career started in 1994 with Smith New Court (Merrill Lynch) & he then spent 13 years at Deutsche Bank where he advanced from Head of ECM in the UK to Head of Asia-Pacific for ECM; to Head of Europe for ECM; to Head of Coverage for Corporate & Investment Banking EMEA; Board Director in Russia; to Head of CIB in Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa; & COO for CIB in EMEA. Philip has experience globally & has transacted more than $100 billion of advisory and capital markets deals. He was appointed restructuring advisor to Dubai World in 2008, listed Halifax in the UK in 1997, AMP in Australia in 1998, China Life in 2003, DP World in 2007, USAID Tunisia bond in 2012, MTN Nigeria in 2019.
